Party The Night Away In The German Capital With Berlin Hotels
One of Europe’s hottest destinations for a great night out has to be the German capital of Berlin. Berlin is a city full of character and history with things to see and do around every corner. Whether you want to stay somewhere cheap if you plan to stay out all day and night, or fancy some luxury, there are Berlin hotels for everyone.
There is so much to see and do in Berlin though that it can seem impossible to plan your trip, so we have put together a quick guide to make things a bit easier for you.
When to Go
Undoubtedly the best time of the year to head to Berlin is at New Years. At the turn of each year, millions from around Germany and the world gather at the historic Brandenburg Gate to enjoy drinks and take in the spectacular midnight fireworks and live music on offer in one of the best celebrations of its kind in the world. Since the separation between East and West Berlin in the early 1990s, the gate has been a focal point of proceedings. Remember, this is an extremely popular time of year though, so book your Berlin hotels early to avoid missing out.
Where to Party
One of the hottest hangouts in Berlin is the super-chic Greendoor bar. Known for serving some of the best dry martini’s and most eclectic champagne cocktails in Germany, this 70’s style bar is the first point of the cool for anyone after a great night out. You will need to make the trip down to the lively Winterfieldstr area, and it will be well worth the trip. The bar stays open until 3am Sunday-Thursday and 4am on Friday and Saturday nights with happy hours running every day from 6-9pm offering some of the cheapest beverages in the city at under €6 per cocktail.
Where to Stay
If you’re planning on spending most of your time out and about, you’ll probably be leaning towards affordability rather than luxury with you hotel. But in Berlin hotels, you don’t have to compromise on quality. With prices starting from just £30 per night, the Econtel Berlin Hotel, situated near to the Berlin exhibition grounds is the perfect place to stay. Known for its friendly atmosphere and fantastic links to the city centre, you will be able to reach all of the city’s museums and famous sites such as the Olympiastadion and Berlin Cathedral, as well as Brandenburg Gate of course. The location ensures that you will be close to all of the big events too.
One thing’s for sure, no matter where you stay in Berlin, and what time of the year you go there, you will be greeted with a city ready to lets its hair down and have some fun!
