An Easy Way To Put A Duvet In A Duvet Cover
It is human nature to take some things for granted especially when they don’t seem to add much value to life. Some days ago I read about how a woman was struggling to put in the duvet in the duvet cover to the point of labelling them “useless” and complicated. I have written a lot about cute duvet cover sets and more and what have you but I have never really taken the time to write a post or review ( call it whatever you like) about this.
Allow me to share with you some of the easier way you can employ when doing this. Hopefully it will save you from the frustration and possible damage to your white duvet cover that may be as a result of “violent” pulling and stretching.
Different people do this differently. I once met a woman who actually crawls inside her twin flannel duvet covers in order to stretch and flatten the comforter while inside. In my opinion, this is too much work – for starters you have to lay the cover on the floor, which can mess it up especially and may even collect some invisible germs.
One of the most easier ways is to just roll it up – like a carpert. Then just put it inside and unroll it. The next one is my favourite way of doing it. Turn the cover inside out and then line it up i.e. the corner of the quilt with the inside seam of the cover. From there you just flip it right side out while still holding on to the corners.
Another option is to buy and use some duvet clips. In order to use these, you need to do like above i.e. turn it inside out, line it up then put the clips at each corner at the seam. The best recommended clip to buy is one that is covered in soft foam. Once you’ve clipped them on then flip the cover back right side out.
